Soccer Without Borders, Girls in the Game

Soccer Without Borders is an NGO that is building a more inclusive world through sport. Using soccer as a vehicle for positive change, they help newcomers and immigrants face the complexities of a new and unknown culture.

They were in need of a video campaign that would raise awareness and help them secure funding, participation and volunteers. The focus was specifically on the young women in their programs. The video was created to bring attention to the elevated struggles that these young women face and the barriers they have to overcome to reach their goals. In this video, the girls take the mic to tell the story in their own words. Powerful imagery and a dynamic soundtrack supports the girls’ stories.

To increase interaction and visibility, the video was strategically rolled out during the 2019 Women’s World Cup when the energy around women’s soccer was at its peak. The video resulted in increased donations and a 50% lift in social media engagement.
